The Duration of Dual Antiplatelet Therapy (DAPT) in Cardiac Care

The study reveals that short-term dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT), particularly one month followed by potent P2Y12 inhibitor monotherapy, significantly reduces bleeding risks without increasing ischemic events compared to the conventional 12-month regimen, making it a safer and effective option for many patients with acute coronary syndrome undergoing PCI with newer-generation stents.
